About Us

The Faith Community of Saint Sabina

is a Word-based, Bible teaching African-American Catholic Church that believes in the power of praise and worship.

We are a spiritual hospital where all are welcome and invited to "taste and see the goodness of the Lord."

Our purpose is to nurture and develop spiritually mature Christians who are not confined by the walls of the sanctuary, but can penetrate the world in order to present God's way of living as a divine option.

Daughters & Sons by Dr. Maya Angelou

If my luck is bad
And his aim is straight
I will leave my life
On the killing field.
You can see me die
On the nightly news
As you settle down
To your evening meal.

But you’ll turn your back
As you often do
Yet I am your sons
And your daughters too.

GUNS ARE TOO EASY TO ACCESS!

Gun violence has risen to epidemic level across America, from Oakland, CA.  to Newark, NJ. The United States leads the world in firearm possession. As a result, firearms are used in 15,000 homicides, another 15,000 suicides, and 1,500 accidental deaths each year.  Currently, there are a number of places where there are virtually no limits on gun ownership.   Easy access to guns has caused the murder rate to rise in exceeding numbers, taking the lives of countless children.  It is up to us to eliminate the easy access to guns, in order to prevent the senseless killing in our community.

Solution: Require that guns be registered and licensed the way cars are.
